Pocket Arguments focuses on quick-learning. We take substantial arguments and organize them into a compact form that can be studied in a few minutes and reviewed as often as needed. We aim to preserve the reasoning, distinctions, and background that make an idea intelligible while making the material practical enough to remember.

We want these ideas to become part of a person’s working knowledge. That means being able to recall them when a question arises, explain them in ordinary conversation, and give a reasoned defense when they are challenged. We believe this is part of responsible citizenship: knowing the principles that shape our common life and being prepared to defend what is true and good.
